Arrow on the Side of the Fuel Gauge
There are many ways to embarrass yourself at the gas station. The most common situation is when you pull up to a gas station and notice that the tank is on the other side. In the car, try to place the pump on the right side. This is a minor criticism, but still annoying.

You don’t have to do anything to get this advice. Fortunately, car manufacturers have noticed. Some hide obvious clues. In addition to other symbols and warnings on the instrument panel, the fuel gauge often has a small arrow next to the image of the fuel pump. The relative position of the arrow corresponds to the fuel neck. Whichever way the arrow points is the page you fill it with.
